An Orchid Island Ocean Front project
It is alway fun to take a look back at work I’ve done in the past. Not that long ago I received an email from a real estate firm with a video of a home for sale.
Turns out that video was a home I did a few years ago. And by a few years ago I mean 2007! Hard to believe that was 10 years ago! Goodness how quickly time flies. It truly feels like only yesterday I was knee deep in construction on this project. It was a fun collaboration with great clients that were looking for a traditional home with a casual but inviting interior. The great part of all new construction projects is the ability to select every-single- solitary-little-detail in the home.
The Formal Living / Dining Room has a limestone fireplace surround and antiqued mirrors on each side to reflect the light and ocean view.
Three etched glass globe lanterns hang above the Dining Table. The host chairs and Dining Chair seats are upholstered in an indoor/outdoor fabric…no worries over spills here!
The bead board wainscoting in the Family Room is finished in an antique glaze to match the Kitchen cabinets.
The Kitchen has a built in seating with an antique faux bamboo round table that at one time extended to a long ractrack shape, but the leaves were lost along time ago.
The Master Bedroom is a great retreat from – well – everything!
There is a sitting area with TV as well as a small dining table. A morning bar just off the Master has a mini fridge and coffee maker so there is no need to ever leave.
The Pedestal Tub is front and center in the Master Bath.
A Study for Him
