Jill Shevlin Design is Moving

Not to worry,

we are not going far, just around the corner to a New Office

Well, you may have heard by now that I am moving.  

Maybe it was the giant red "Moving Sale" signs in my store window that gave it away?  Not sure but, It’s true!   % true and I couldn’t be more excited!

  I thought 4 years ago when I moved into my dream location I would stay forever. 

Alas, as we all know things change. 

My office neighbor Sola Salon was looking to expand, and unbeknownst to me at the time, I was definitely ready for a downsize. 

What I thought would never happen, did, in fact happened.  I no longer had the desire to have a retail store.  I have always loved to shuffle and show off goods and finds I’ve scoured the earth to find.  But it literally stopped being my passion and became a job that I was never satisfied with. 

 Never satisfied with the way things looked.  Nothing felt quite right about it. 

 Closing the store is just part of the change.   Design has changed, the way I work as a Designer has changed and I no long need or wish to carry the load of 17 years of stuff that has become useless and irrelevant.

The good news is

I have found a new, smaller office space downtown that is Perfect!  It’s cute, quaint, close to my home and for now

Exactly where I want to be. 

Change is good! 

I am letting go and moving on feeling free from the weight of years of accumulating stuff and things.

I hope this is my last move....but I know better now than to say anything is forever!
