Jupiter Island Condo Kitchen and Master Bath Renovation
Jill Shevlin Design completed this award-winning kitchen and master bath renovation in just three-and-a-half months, thus bringing new life to her client’s Jupiter Island condo. Jill completely transformed the layout of the master bathroom, working around empty corners, concrete walls and floors, immovable plumbing locations. And we can’t forget the time and noise constraints that come along with condo renovations.
She reworked the bathroom floor plan entirely to create two water closets, two vanities, a freestanding soaking bathtub, and a gorgeous ocean-view shower that’s three times the size of the original shower.
This master bath renovation was more than just an update — it was a complete overhaul that transformed a bathroom into a fully-functional, luxurious space. The space’s original dark, dated marble floors were replaced with fresh, clean white marble with complementary two-tone herringbone marble inlays.
The out-of-date light fixtures were updated to feature stunning flush-mount ceiling fixtures, vanity sconces, and a gorgeous centered chandelier. Crisp, white cabinets and vanities brightened the previously somber environment. Tall vanity towers now sit atop the marble countertops on either side of the sink for additional storage. A fresh color scheme with accents of blue highlights the inspiring view from this oceanfront condo.
Concurrent to the master bath renovation, Jill transformed the condo’s kitchen from dark and dated into a bright, welcoming heart of the home. By replacing the cabinets, backsplash, and appliances, the kitchen renovation successfully turned the room into a sunny sanctuary that’s well designed to prepare and share meals.
New marble countertops replaced the original black granite, brightening the space, and giving the kitchen a new life. This kitchen and master bath renovation was a race against the clock. The exquisite final product won the American Society of Interior Designer’s (ASID) 2009 First Place award in Residential Renovations.
